The monastery tractor has arrived

Lama Kunga Tenzin

People believe that monks only stay sitting in big prayers room reciting mantras...well, it's a bit different in reality. At least in our monastery!

Khenpo Jamiang Tenzing helps Lama Kunga Tenzin park the tractor.

Our monastery has two vehicles.

One is the tractor.

It is fundamental for the work in Mustang and it brings down (and up) all the items of the school for our kids. It's a two days journey from our monastery in Mustang to here.

When you see it you immediately understand that the owners are super Buddhists.

It's full of katas (ceremonial Buddhist scarfs) of the 5 colors, and other holy stuff.

It's a beautiful tractor.

Kids like it.

We have a driver when we are in Mustang, but now we don't need him. So Lama Kunga Tenzin, our building work director, has parked it in a small field behind our monastic school.

For our small neighborhood, this is a special occasion. So everybody went and to see the tractor parking! ... let alone our kids!
